Location: AEP Office, Conference Room 2C, 700 Morrison Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230

Presenter: Jay Williams, Executive Engineer, Power Delivery Consultants, Inc.

Abstract: Underground power cables account for less than one percent of the transmission lines in this country, yet the industry is currently extremely busy, with some projects being delayed or re-engineered because of high activity and long lead times for cables and accessories. AEP is a long-time user of transmission cables, and has installed almost all types of transmission cables on its system. This seminar will describe the cable types that are used in this country and overseas, the maximum voltage and power levels for each type, historical usage, and recent trends in underground transmission.

Please RSVP to Richard Smelker by email to rdsmelker@aep.com Or by phone at 614-552-1697 by 1:00PM, March 19, 2012
